Antique Kreamer metal spice lock box complete with its six original fitted spice tins. Made of sturdy tin-plated steel, the rectangular case has a hinged lid, carrying handle, and fitted interior designed to keep the six containers together in a compact, protected, and portable system.

The six tins are labeled Mace, Cinnamon, Cloves, Allspice, Nutmeg, and Ginger. Kreamer Tinware of Brooklyn, New York, manufactured durable metal household containers during the early 20th century; documented examples of this spice-box design bear a 1918 patent date.

Open, the case reveals a precise interior architecture of repeated square containers and labeled lids. Closed, it becomes a compact metal volume that protects its contents and can be moved easily by its handle.

Condition: Fair, extensive visible oxidation, paint loss, scratches, marks, surface wear, worn labels. Overall box 3.8 in H x 9.8 in W x 7 in D.
