A charming set of twelve vintage Enoch Wedgwood Countryside Blue berry or dessert bowls, made in England and decorated in classic blue-and-white transferware. The Countryside Blue pattern is known for its romantic English landscape scenes, rendered in soft cobalt blue over a white ground, with trees, water, architecture, and pastoral scenery that evoke the quiet beauty of rural England. Replacements identifies the Countryside Blue pattern by Wedgwood as “Blue English Scenes Transferware” and lists its production period as 1966–1968.

Each bowl has a shallow rounded form, ideal for berries, fruit, ice cream, compote, small desserts, puddings, nuts, sauces, or refined individual servings. Their modest scale makes them especially useful at the table, while the blue scenic decoration gives them enough visual presence to display beautifully in a cabinet, on open shelving, or as part of a collected blue-and-white table setting.

Enoch Wedgwood, Tunstall, England, continued the long Staffordshire tradition of decorative transferware, producing tablewares that combined practicality with nostalgic English imagery. Comparable Countryside berry bowls are commonly described as made in England during the 1960s, with examples measuring around 5 to 5 1/4 inches and used for fruit, berries, or dessert service.

The set of twelve creates a generous and cohesive service, perfect for entertaining, breakfast, dessert courses, afternoon tea, or layered country-style dining. The blue-and-white palette pairs beautifully with ironstone, silver plate, wicker, linen, transferware, majolica, and traditional English or French country interiors. These bowls bring a timeless domestic charm to the table while remaining practical for everyday use.

Offered in vintage condition consistent with age and use, with light wear appropriate to mid-twentieth-century ceramic tableware. A lovely and useful set of Enoch Wedgwood Countryside Blue berry bowls, full of English charm, classic transferware character, and enduring decorative appeal.
