Vintage O.P.Co. Syracuse China Floral Pitcher and Creamers Grouping

A ceramic tableware grouping bringing together an O.P.Co. Syracuse China milk pitcher and a handled creamer, accompanied by several handleless creamers of different heights. Rich floral decoration in yellow, blue, and reddish accents connects flowers and leaves across dark stems, a delicate repeating border following the rim on every piece.

The handled pieces share flared pouring spouts and curved handles, decoration concentrated above a generous plain lower body that lets each pitcher's proportions read clearly. The visible traces of age across the pieces are treated as part of the object's character rather than a flaw to disguise.

O.P.Co. stands for Onondaga Pottery Company, founded in 1871 in the Syracuse area of New York and known for the Syracuse China line that became a mainstay of American hotel and restaurant service through the twentieth century.
