Antique French Majolica Pitcher by Frie Onnaing, Art Nouveau, c. 1900

A beautiful antique French majolica pitcher by Frie Onnaing, created during the height of the Art Nouveau movement in the early twentieth century. This richly molded example features cascading lilac blossoms in deep violet tones, framed by large flowing leaves that wrap around the body of the vessel. The sculptural relief, organic curves, and naturalistic botanical decoration are characteristic of the celebrated ceramics produced by the Faïencerie de Onnaing in northern France.

The pitcher displays a striking palette of olive green, soft celadon, warm ochre, and violet, with a highly detailed floral border forming the rim.
