Hand-thrown terracotta jug from Puglia, southern Italy, dating from the mid 19th century. The piece features a rounded body, short cylindrical neck, twin side handles, and a wide open mouth, reflecting the utilitarian pottery traditions of the region. Its form is simple and direct, originally shaped for domestic use, but the proportions give it a quiet sculptural presence.
