Vintage Ravenswood Pottery Grouping, Creamers and Butter Mold

A nine-piece grouping bringing together four small handleless creamers attributed to Ravenswood Pottery, dating to circa 1944, four individual butter pats, and an antique wooden butter mold. The butter pats were chosen to complement the creamers, sharing the same dark green bands and fine lines on a white ground, so the repeated decoration ties three different forms into one visual set.

The creamers reflect 1940s American restaurantware at its most functional: compact shapes designed for everyday service, with colored bands offering an easy way to coordinate a table setting without adding cost. Here the green lines accentuate rims and bases, framing the butter pats the same way.

The wooden mold connects this service to the older, slower work of shaping butter by hand — a reminder that even standardized restaurant tableware sat alongside genuinely handmade domestic tools well into the twentieth century.
