Dating primarily from the mid-20th century, rolling pins of this type were familiar fixtures of the domestic kitchen, used for the everyday preparation of bread, pastry, biscuits, and pies. The collection brings together five examples of different sizes and proportions, reflecting the variations that existed within one of the kitchen’s most enduring and recognizable hand tools.
